Villa Zoé, near Elafonisi, West Crete


Villa Zoé is located on the west coast of Crete between the world famous beaches of Elafonisi and Fallasarna - around 5 kilometres from the monastery of Chrisoskalitisa and 10 kilometres from the pretty mountain villages of Elos and Kefali.

This is magnificent unspoiled genuine Greek Island mountain countryside, with no recognition of tourism anywhere nearby.		   Villa Zoé

The house is in a tiny hamlet and is built on a rocky outcrop overlooking the beautiful clear blue sea. Much of the beach is rock and pebbles here so the surf and its sound is evocatively beautiful and the water fresh and sparkling clean. There are around twenty houses in the hamlet in total so one feels alone but not lonely. In the centre of the hamlet is a group of six houses, all built in recent years, of which Zoé is one. These beautiful buildings blend local materials and traditional craftsmanship with the very latest in both building techniques and interior design and style.
The swimming pool is at the end of the terrace   Approached from a lane, Zoé has its own private entrance leading to a broad sweeping terrace that runs the width of the house and garden - all of which faces the sea. The swimming pool is at the end of the terrace and neither are overlooked by other buildings, roads or pathways.

The sitting room, dining room and bedroom run across the full width of the house at the front and have huge full height sliding windows that look across the terrace to the sea below and to the island of Elafonisi to the south.
This is a very private place and the theme of romantic privacy runs into the house itself.

At the right hand end of the building there is the bedroom area with the jacuzzi-style bath placed provocatively nearby.

The dining area is in the centre, with the kitchen and sitting room at the left hand end.

Great thought and care has gone into choice of room layout, furnishings, textures and colour schemes.

The house is fully equipped for all year round occupation and features air-conditioning, satellite television, a whirlpool/jacuzzi style bath, washing machine, microwave and full-size conventional cooker and so on.
Villa Zoé is for a couple who want to get completely away from the crowds and retreat into luxury - not at all for those who want the hustle and bustle of shops and tourists or who need others to entertain them in the evenings. The house is private but not completely isolated. There is a small grocery shop just two hundred metres away and the Cretan Kitchen there will be happy to cook meals to order and even deliver them to you on days when you really don’t want to do anything at all!

This is a perfect haven for a couple for who want to pamper themselves in warm, romantic, private luxury!
Our rental pricing structure is very straightforward and based on the natural seasons of Winter, Spring, Summer and Autumn. We do not have complicated price bands that maximise prices around school holidays in any particular country. There are no hidden costs or casually mentioned extras as apparent afterthoughts - our prices include electricity, water and local authority charges, all linen, cleaning and immediate food supplies for arrival.
We always offer you the freedom to choose the day of the week when your stay will begin and end and because we don't have weekly 'change-over days' you can rent for as long as you wish and come and go any day of the week – you choose!

Additional days above a standard week(s) are priced pro-rata – simply divide the weekly price by seven and multiply by your total choice of days.
